Privacy Policy
Effective August 11, 2026 · PEFG, PLLC (Illinois)
This policy describes what PEFG collects through this Service, why, and who it's shared with. It covers arcflashfiles.com and the Service specifically — not pefgconsulting.com, which has its own privacy practices for its separate stamped-engineering work, and not powerengcalc.com, a fully separate, unrelated property.
What we collect
- Contact information: email address, and optionally company/firm name.
- Order information: product purchased, tier, lane, price, and the intake-form answers for that product (jurisdiction, code edition, and similar fields).
- Documents you upload for review, and the reports generated from them.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and a reference id, never your card number.
- Consent records: the exact text, version, and timestamp of every disclaimer acknowledgement you check, plus the IP address it was accepted from — see Terms §5 and the Refund Policy for why this is retained.
- Basic technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) generated by normal web server operation.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your uploaded documents to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, or as an example in marketing, without your separate written opt-in.
- We do not place a phone number, live chat widget, or booking calendar on this Service, so we do not collect data through those channels — there aren't any.
Who we share it with
The following sub-processors handle data as part of operating the Service:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication.
- Anthropic — the Claude API performs the automated review of documents you submit, server-side. Anthropic processes your document only to run the review your order requested.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (order confirmations, report-ready notices).
- Google Analytics — site usage analytics (pages viewed, referring source, approximate location from IP, device/browser type), and only if you accept the cookie banner. It does not see your uploaded documents, order details, or any information you enter into an intake form. See "Analytics and cookies" below.
We do not share your documents or personal information with any other third party except where required by law, or with your explicit consent.
Analytics and cookies
Nothing tracks by default. On your first visit, a banner asks whether to allow Google Analytics 4; declining or dismissing it means no analytics cookie is ever set and no usage data is sent to Google for that visit. Only if you click Accept does Google Analytics load, at which point it sets cookies and collects your IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you view — to understand which pages get read, where traffic comes from, and whether the site works on the devices people actually visit from. It never receives your uploaded documents, the answers you enter into an intake form, or your payment information — none of that leaves this Service's own servers and Stripe.
You can change your decision at any time — including withdrawing an earlier acceptance — via "Cookie preferences" in the footer of every page; that reopens the banner. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. This Service does not use any other advertising or tracking cookie.
Retention and deletion
Uploaded documents and the file copies used to generate your report are deleted automatically 30 days after your job completes, and sooner on request — see the Data Retention Policy for the full mechanics, including the "delete now" option in your portal.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, request its correction, or request its deletion (subject to what we're required to retain for tax, accounting, or legal purposes) by emailing support@pefgconsulting.com. If you're in a jurisdiction with a statutory right to data portability or to object to processing, the same email address is where to exercise it.
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
