Refund Policy
Effective August 11, 2026 · PEFG, PLLC (Illinois)
This policy covers every product sold on this Service, including the two-lane products (MOP Review, OLPD Report Review) and Personal Expert Review.
General rule
These are digital, on-demand review services, not physical goods. Once a report has been released to you — made available for download in your portal and emailed — the order is final and non-refundable. This applies regardless of whether you agree with the findings, their number, or their severity.
This platform does not offer, and will never offer, a "minimum number of findings or your money back" guarantee of any kind. A guarantee tied to finding counts would create an incentive to inflate them, which runs directly against the purpose of an accurate preliminary screening.
When a refund applies
- Non-delivery. If the review pipeline fails to produce a report for your job — for a reason on our side, such as a processing failure we cannot resolve — you're entitled to a full refund of that order.
- Duplicate charge. If you were charged twice for the same order due to a checkout error, the duplicate charge is refunded in full.
- Malware-rejected upload with no valid resubmission. If your file is rejected by the malware scan and you're unable to provide a clean version within a reasonable time, you may request a refund for that order rather than continuing to attempt upload.
- Document refused as the wrong type. If the review engine determines at intake that what you uploaded is not the kind of document the product reviews — a photograph of a nameplate submitted to a study review, a generic hazard symbol submitted to a label review — it refuses rather than reviewing. No review is performed, no findings are produced, no report is released, and no paid unit is consumed. You may apply the order to a correct upload or request a full refund. This is deliberately narrow: it covers a document of the wrong type, not a document of the right type that is incomplete — see the next section.
When a refund does not apply
- A released report you disagree with, find too short, or believe missed something.
- Choosing the wrong product for your document (see each product page's scope before you buy — email us first if you're unsure).
- Choosing the automated lane and receiving a report with no engineer review, when that's exactly what the automated lane is (this is disclosed at checkout, not a defect).
- Uploading a document you did not have the rights to submit.
- Change of mind after upload but before release, once processing has started and consumed the associated review cost.
- Uploading an incomplete or partial document. See the section below — this is the most common reason a customer is surprised by their report, so it is spelled out separately.
Incomplete submissions are reviewed and billed
You are responsible for confirming that the file you upload is the document you intend to have analyzed. Check the filename and open the file before you submit it. The intake form asks you to confirm this, the checkout acknowledgement restates it, and every report names the file it reviewed on its first page.
A partial document is not a rejected document. An extract, a summary page, a single sheet of a larger set, a study submitted without the appendices its results depend on, or a drawing set missing the schedules it cross-references is a valid submission of the correct type. It is reviewed as submitted, the missing content is reported as findings, and a report is released. That is a completed review and it consumes your payment.
Reports on partial documents are typically shorter on substance and longer on "not present in the submittal," because that is an accurate description of what was uploaded. A report that tells you a required value is absent is doing its job. It is not a defective report, and it is not refundable on the grounds that a more complete upload would have produced more findings.
The only submissions that consume no payment are those the engine refuses outright as the wrong type of document — see "Document refused as the wrong type" above. If you are unsure whether what you have is complete enough to be worth reviewing, email support@pefgconsulting.com before you buy rather than after.
Before a report is released
If you've paid but haven't yet uploaded your documents, you may request a full refund and cancellation by emailing support before uploading. Once documents are uploaded and processing has started, the order is treated as delivered work-in-progress and is refundable only under the "When a refund applies" section above.
Personal Expert Review
If the owner does not deliver the written memo (and recording, where applicable) for a Personal Expert Review order within a reasonable extension of the stated turnaround, you're entitled to a full refund. Once the memo is delivered, the order is final, consistent with the general rule above.
Lane B (expert-reviewed) — MOP Review and OLPD Report Review
If you purchase the expert lane and the owner releases the report without a completed summary memo (which the release process is designed to prevent — see the build architecture backing this Service), that's a delivery failure and is refundable under "Non-delivery" above.
How to request a refund
Email support@pefgconsulting.com with your order id. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
